Background

An investment arm of the ROEL Group started to emerge in the early 2000s when the Group acquired – in the project implementation process – a number of Russian problem-ridden companies. The Group’s high caliber professionals embarked on an aggressive agenda to enhance the investment attractiveness of the acquired companies with a view to raise capital. ROEL Capital that became a stand-alone business entity in July 2003 has, since then, made a notable contribution to the Group’s impressive track record.

In November 2004, Closed Joint Stock Company ROEL Capital Asset Management was set up with closed-end mutual funds management as its mandate that later, as our business grew, expanded considerably. In April 2005, the Federal Financial Markets Service registered the regulations for trust management of Industrial Investments - the first closed-end venture fund.
